Pamela Carstens

Pamela Carstens passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018, at the age of 65, surrounded by her children and sister.

Pamela is preceded in death by her husband, Noel Carstens, and her father, Vincent Ward.

Pamela leaves behind her mother: Anne Ward; her son, Steven Carstens, and daughters, Kate Yarbrough and Angela Carstens; her grandchildren, Dillon and Nicole Yarbrough; her sister, Linda Ward, and brothers, Bryce Ward and Mark Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pamela was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on January 21, 1953 where she lived until she moved to Seabrook, Texas in 1999. Pamela married her beloved husband Noel Carstens in 1976 and they were happily married for 26 years before his untimely passing in 2002.

Pamela was an avid golfer and couldn’t wait to plan her next tee time at a new golf course. Pamela loved photography and was often inspired by the world around her to create her art. She was always busy gardening, fishing, playing tennis or working on creative projects.  On days when Pam wasn’t out and about, she could be found spending time with her grandchildren, especially Dillon; teaching him about golf and the outdoors, with the golf channel always playing in the background.

Pamela never missed an opportunity to help someone in need; she approached every situation with an open heart and open arms. Pamela with her zest for life is known to all her friends and acquaintances for her spirit and loving nature. Pamela is loved greatly and she will be missed dearly.

Memorial service will be held on December 28, 2018 at 1:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.

  2. The loss of loved one is so hard to bear. During these times of distress our heavenly
Father lovingly reminds us that he is “close to the brokenhearted”. (Ps34:18)
He also gives the assurance that he will resurect our dear loved onesback to lifeas Jesus did his friend Lazeras. (Acts24:15) May these promises bring you comfort and give you hope for the future. (Rom15:4)
