Paige Sayers
Paige Hoffman Sayers, eighty one years of age, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2018 in Katy, Texas. She was the beloved only child of Eugene Wallace Hoffman and Bliss Page Hoffman. She had resided in Nassau Bay, Texas for over 50 years where she was a busy homemaker raising her family. It seems she attended all the school events the girls were involved in over the years and she was definitely at all tennis tournaments. She was the Mom with the water, salt tablets and snacks. She was an encourager and STRONG task master. She was active in several organizations, holding office on boards and traveling to several states in duty to those obligations. Paige was an avid, voracious reader and loved all books. She had once commented that she wished she could read every book ever written. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and had been active in her Sunday School and Bible Study class where she had life long friends. She married R. Stuart Sayers in 1954 and the couple had two daughters, Sabrina Roman and Tara Dillard. Paige traveled across the USA and Europe for decades with Stuart on his trips as his career spun through NASA’s Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs.
Paige is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Roman and husband Joe Roman, M.D., Tara Dillard and Shaefer Heard ; and her poodles, Snowball and Sunday. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, R. Stuart Sayers and her parents.
A graveside service was held on November 5, 2018.
She will be missed.
My deepest sympathy to the Sayers family. My heart goes out to you. Our heavenly Father knows the sorrow you’re feeling as you mourn the loss of Paige. At 1 Peter 5:7 he gives the loving assurance that “he cares for you.” May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time. ( 2 Cor. 1:3,4 )
