In 1921 Warren Harding is President and the United States formally ends World War I. Bacon is 10 cents a pound and World War II is just around the corner. She worked as a welder in the Beaumont shipyard during the years of World War II.
She loved Red… Red shoes and Red lipstick and she owned a Red Stove
She loved traveling and the deserts of New Mexico
She loved the photography of Ansel Adams
She loved music and dancing and Old Crow
She loved White Shoulders Perfume
She loved raking and burning leaves in the fall
She loved to cook
She loved growing tomatoes and zinnias
She loved her kids, grandkids and great- grandkids
She loved to read

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 4:30pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster,TX along with a graveside service Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3pm at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA.
My deepest sympathy to the Hillard family. I have always found comfort in the Bible’s words at Isaiah 41:10. There God gives the loving assurance ” I will really hold on to you with my right hand.” May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time. ( 2 Cor. 1:3,4 )
