Jerry Eugene Etie, 72, of San Leon, passed away Wednesday morning, April 16, 2014 in his home. “ET” was born October 9, 1941 in Houston, TX. He was the son of the late Frederick E. and Ethel E. (Smithe) Etie. Jerry was a loving father and husband and a great friend to many. He served his country in the U.S.Navy. His favorite days were spent fishing. In 1988 he married H. Charlene Rasmussen. Jerry will be missed by his wife; four children, Vicky Lynn Ferguson, Timothy Glenn Etie, Tracy Denice Etie and William Derek Hooper; one sister, Darlene Downs; 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11a.m., Monday April 21 at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster. There will be a farewell gathering afterwards for those that wish to attend.
