Dean Shearer
Dean Paul Shearer passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, leaving this world way too soon. He was born in Waco, Texas on August 30, 1960 to Clyde and Elaine Shearer. Later he moved to Houston where he graduated from South Houston High School in 1978. After high school he attended the University of Houston – Clear Lake where he received his Bachelor of Behavioral Science in 1982. He then went on to graduate from South Texas College of Law in 1989.
Dean spent years practicing law, working his way up to partner, and finally achieving his dream of opening his own practice in 2006. He and his wife, Linda, shared 35 years together and had two beautiful children, Stephanie and John. He was predeceased by his father, Clyde, and is survived by his mother Elaine, his wife, Linda, his daughter Stephanie and her fiancé Ronny and his son Ryland, his son John and his wife Kristen and there beautiful daughter Sumner, his brother Brian and his wife Debbie, his sister Cheryl and her husband Mike and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dean was a devoted husband, father and friend, with a passion for life. He had a special gift for lifting people’s spirits, and he touched the lives of all that had the honor of knowing him. Heaven’s gain is our loss and he will be forever missed by so many.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. following by a Rosary at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Internment to follow at Forest Park East.

I’m sorry for your loss. I’m shocked to learn of his passing! He was my attorney and he helped me so much after my husband’s death as he probated our will. I will so miss him as my attorney. God bless you all.

We are so very sorry to hear of Dean’s passing. He was our attorney and helped us with our wills many years ago. We met with him in January of this year and were very glad to get to see him. He was a very kind, sincere person and we will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and his family during this difficult time.

Dean was a person of the highest level of skill and integrity in his personal life and as an attorney. His law firm was highly respected by attorneys and clients alike. He and I discussed laws related to wills and trusts, but I never expected estate planning to apply to him this early in his life. He was a pillar in our community and will be missed by many. I knew Dean for many years as a trusted friend and attorney and just learned of his death while trying to refer another client to him. Our world is poorer for his passing.
Dean was a San Jacinto College Foundation Board Member who worked tirelessly to assist our students. We are sad to hear of his passing and our hearts truly go out to the family.
So sorry to hear of Dean’s death. He was a good, honest man. I deeply appreciate the work he did for me when my spouse died, and later when I had to do my own will. He inspired confidence. Prayers for each and all.

I was absolutely shocked to hear about Mr. Shearer‘s passing. He was such a wonderful man and I admired him so much. He was a fantastic attorney and helped me in my time of need. I knew Dean from being one of his clients, an amazing guy. I’m totally at a loss of words I went on google to search him again to call him about some business and came across this. I am so sorry to hear about this. I just referred a family member to Dean and was calling him about question for our family. I’m just shocked and heart-broken for your family. Dean was our family estate attorney, and a professor of min at UH for the CFP certification. We really liked his sarcasm and dry-sense of humor. Just an all-around wonderful man. I am so very heartbroken to learn that Dean has passed. He was a wonderful attorney and helped me whenever I needed him. I’ll never forget the surprise I felt when he sent me a balloon bouquet to me when I was suddenly hospitalized with a serious illness. I still think about his kindness 5 years later … how that one small act of concern helped me to heal.
