RIP,dearest uncle. I hope to see you again in heaven.
I met Roger 20+ years ago when he was the manager of the Randall’s Store in Texas City. After Randall’s left it was a real pleasure to get a chance to meet Roger again when he became the store manager at the Texas City Kroger store. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I would talk to him and came to genuinely respect him for the way he managed the employees and always had the store in perfect order. He also did little things that really impressed me, if he saw an older person or someone having difficulty reaching a product on the shelf, I’d see him head down the aisle and get the item for them. Also, remember one occasion where a person was in a handicap cart and Roger spent a good while walking with them to get items for them. All in all he was just a very special man and will be missed.
Mr. Roger was truly a great man and he will be missed!
I have some of the very best childhood memories of Roger and Jeff Ealy. I can’t believe they’re both gone. Roger will be missed by so many people, I thank you for the memories. Praying that God comforts your family and friends through this difficult time. God has brought you home, we WILL see you again my friend.
