Wanda Eleanor Lucas, 93, of La Marque passed away on Thursday, March 01, 2018 in La Marque.  She was born January 3, 1925 in Galveston to Stuart and Eleanor Werner.

She was a resident of La Marque since 1948 formerly from Galveston. Wanda was a Charter member of Highland Baptist Church of La Marque, and a member of the Santa Fe Railroad Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Lucas.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mark Warner of Texas City, her son and daughter-in-law, Jarvis and Julie Lucas of Austin, brother Stuart Werner and wife Kay of Dickinson; five grandchildren: Ashley Warner, Franklin Warner, Christopher Warner, Jonathan Lucas and Jessica Lucas and three great grand-children: Adrian Racy, Jase Racy and Alec Racy.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm.  Interment will be at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Warner, Christopher Warner, Jonathan Lucas, Doug Anderson, Paul Lucas and Stephen Werner.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Ed Miller.
