Ethel Lavine Westerlage
Ethel Lavine Westerlage, 82, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away at her home March 26, 2014. She was born July 2, 1931 to Henry and Martha Chollett in Weimar, Texas. Ethel graduated from Dickinson High School where she was voted most athletic girl and retired from Penreco where she worked as a Human Resources Manager. She was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson and was very active in her grandchildren’s lives. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 57 years, George Westerlage and a son, Richard Westerlage.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Karen Hadaway and her husband, Troy; sons, Mark Westerlage and his wife, Alicia, and Gary Westerlage and his wife, Carolyn; sister, Betty Thomas and her husband, Lynton; brother, Charles Chollett and his wife, Virginia; grandchildren, Christie Miller (Josh), Danielle Magliolo (Travis), Shane Feliz, Hannah Westerlage, Laura Westerlage, Kelli Westerlage, Catherine Westerlage, and Matthew Westerlage; great grandchildren, Maxwell and Mallory Magliolo.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas. A service will be held in her honor, Saturday, March 29, 2014, 10:30 a.m., Faith Lutheran Church, Dickinson, Texas with committal services following at Galveston Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are James Chollett, Tracy Chollett, Shane Feliz, Troy Hadaway, Tom Watkins and Matthew Westerlage.
