Frederick Dexter
Frederick Dexter, an admirable and honorable man, died on February 6, 2018, at the age of 75. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Chris, his children and their spouses: Terri & Mark, Jim, Wayne & Tracy, Kim & Steve, Stephanie, Tiffanie & Rob, and 11 grandchildren: Justin, Christian, Lauren, Nicole, Ryan, Matthew, Jake, Dora, Karmalena, Abbie, and Brynlee. Fred dedicated his career to law enforcement. His tenure began with the Connecticut State Police, included years with the Ogden Police Department and 25 years with the Houston Police Department. During his “retirement”, he enjoyed working at Clear Lake Regional Hospital, where once again he made a positive impact on people’s lives. Fred was kind to all, loved to share laughter with his friends and family, and lived every day to the best of his ability. He will be forever missed.
The family will receive guests from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.
Fred we will miss you alot. Love seeing you outside cutting the grass. It feels different not seeing you around. I know you are with God and I know you are happy. your family will miss you but they know that you will be looking down on them and protecting your family
Dexter my friend and brother in crime. It gave me great pleasure to know you and work with you at Hobby Airport. There will be day that we meet again and share our memories. I will not forget you. I will see you again, but not yet.
I wanted to send out my condolences to the family of Fred Dexter. I enjoyed working with Fred while assigned at IAH Airport. He will truly be missed.
My condolences to Chris and the entire family. Fred’s passing will leave a huge hole in the lives of all who came to know him. I have tremendous respect for Fred and how he lived his life. While I did not see Fred much in recent years, it was always comforting to know he was there to look after his family. Fred you are missed.
We enjoyed working with you at Hobby Airport. You will be missed.

Rest easy Fred. It was my pleasure to have known you personally as a friend, and to have worked with you as a brother. An all around good man who left this world a better place.
Fred, I am missing you so much. You were a very wise man who expressed that to my mother when she was in the hospital several months before she died. Mom was in and out of the hospital and somehow you always knew she was there. You, Bob and I would meet in the cafeteria and have a little coffee or hot chocolate and just pass some time talking. I loved your laugh – it made me smile. You had a kind word for everyone and I so enjoyed that inner goodness you had – a kind word for all. My mother (90 years old) loved you dearly. Sometimes you would come to her room just to say a few words and hold her hand. She loved you and will be so happy to see you again. Someone said that you were an honorable man. What a compliment, Fred. I am so proud to have known you and especially all you did for mom. I love you and miss you.
Fred was always a kind gentle man. His deep voice only carried
Kindness . Well like police officer.
So very sorry to hear this news. I had the privilege of working with Frederick Dexter at IAH and Hobby. I will keep his family in my prayers. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted. Psalms 34:18
