Roy Eugene Higdon, Sr., 75, a 43 year resident of Alvin, TX, passed away, surrounded by his family, on March 21, 2014. He was born October 20, 1938 in Kentucky. Roy was a mechanic for many years and a welder/pipefitter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Jeanette Higdon; and a daughter, Gail Richey.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Debbie Simmons and her husband, Billy, Joni Yarbrough and her husband, Bubba and Zella Higdon; sons, James Saski and his wife, Christina, Jesse Saski and Patricia, and Roy Higdon, Jr.; brothers, Larry Holden and his wife Jolynn and Jimmie Holden and his wife, Judy; twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren.

A visitation in his honor will be held Monday, March 24, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Crowder Funeral home, Dickinson, TX. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX, with committal services following at Manvel Cemetery, Manvel, TX.

Honored to serve as pall bearers are Derek Yarbrough, Chance Yarbrough, Austin Elsemore, Nathan Higdon, Jeremi Hill and Hobe Hill.
