Daniel Clinton Doughty,69, of Alvin, TX passed away on October 26, 2017 in Houston, TX.  Mr. Doughty was born September 14, 1948 in Newport, VA to Doyle and Virginia Doughty.  He has been a resident of Alvin since 1983 and has worked for Brown and Root for thirty years and then Oates for ten years.  Daniel also enjoyed being a HAM Radio Operator for the past 20 years.

Mr. Doughty was an excellent provider for the family, an excellent father, husband and a dedicated worker. He also enjoyed Hot-air ballooning and helping others. He never met a stranger, he would speak to everybody.

Mr. Doughty survived by his loving wife of 47 years Patricia Strum Doughty; daughter Kimberly Hope and husband Paul Coussan; son Kenneth Shawn Doughty and Teresa Hill; sister Annette Engleman and husband Kent; grandchildren Brea Sanford and Clayton Sanford.

Mr. Doughty’s wishes to be cremated will be handled by Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.  In leu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
