Henry was nicked named “baby Henny” by his older sister until he was 7 years old when she was finally able to take speech classes to learn how to pronounce her “R’s.” He had a very fun and active childhood growing up in Guthrie, OK with his older siblings, too many cousins to mention, and tons of friends. Spending his days riding his bike all over town or at the local swimming pool during the summer.

He was there any time she needed and even when she did not need support and advice. In 2012, his great niece was delivered into the world, Samantha Kathleen Utecht (League City, TX). They only had a few years to get to know each other but their love for “Uncle Henry” is timeless.
Throughout his life, Henry enjoyed collecting comic books, of course watching all the comic inspired moves, he enjoyed reading many authors but Stephen King was one of his favorites. After the 1980s and the invention of video games he greatly enjoyed spending hours playing various games including first person shooter games and football inspired games. Later in life is new obsession was to collect Nike tennis shoes.
He had many jobs throughout his life from working at Mario’s Pizza, construction, installing large size windows. One that broke and left a 12 plus inch scar on his arm. His last job was working for Wal-Mart in Pearland, TX in loss prevention. This was one of his favorite jobs, sometimes dangerous and sometime very entertaining.
Henry was diagnosed with cancer on April 18, 2017. He went home to the good lord in his sleep on May 13, 2017 in League City, TX. He was not given time to fight this terrible disease but he was also not in pain. His last days were spent living at his sister’s home surrounded by the family he loved and cared for so much. He was given time to say goodbye to those he loved and cherished the most in the world.
