Margaret “Nanny” Lillian James
Margaret “Nanny” Lillian James, 92, resident of Houston, TX, was born January 26, 1925 in Sealy, TX passed away May 9, 2017. Nanny was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and the Alter Society of St. Christopher where she attended mass every morning at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church until she could no longer drive.
Nanny was a hard worker and helped put her children through Catholic education, she enjoyed dancing, gambling and loved her animals.
Nanny is preceded by her loving husband, Warren C. James Sr.; daughter, Mary Mills; son, Warren James Jr.; parents, Frank and Mary Drozd; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Nanny is survived by her daughter, Carole Wells, husband ED; grandchildren: Sam Curtis Mills, wife Debra, Keith Charles Mills, James Clyde Mills, Melanie Marie Hall, husband Joel, Jeffery Warren Wells, wife Darcie, James Curtis Wells, Jason Edmond Wells, Warren Curtis James III, Anthony Keith James; 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous other loving family members, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm with a rosary to begin at 6pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
Pallbearers will be: Joel Hall, J.C. Mills, Caleb Hall, Jeff Wells, James Wells and Jason Wells.
The family would like to send a thank you for the loving care of Nanny for the past 4 years at Baywind Village and Faith Hospice. Also, a very special thank you to Mary Marks and Nita Sonnier.
