Elegio Acerbo Consumo, 96 years old, of Pearland, TX passed away to be with our Lord Jesus on March 23, 2017, in Houston, TX. He was born on December 22, 1920 in the Philippines to Graciano E. Consumo (deceased) and Saturnina A. Consumo (deceased) and has lived in Houston and Pearland, TX for the past 24 years.  He was a member of Odiongan Central Baptist Church, Iloilo, Philippines and Sugar Grove Church in Stafford, TX.

He is preceded in death by his wife Rosalina; son Re-Grace and siblings.  He is  survived by  his children:  Estela Consumo, Romy Consumo, Edna Consumo, ElisaConsumo-Bernal, Roel Consumo and Eve Consumo-Gaje; sons-in- law:  Rey Bernal and Pete Gaje; daughters-in-law:  Tina, Faith Lovedrian and Jeanne;  grandchildren:  Mark Jason Roel Consumo, Richelle Vivien Baldomaro, Ann Reine Consumo, Erik Antoine Consumo, Elrey Jonathan Bernal and Roselene Jane Consumo; grandson-in-law  John Seigfred Baldomaro; great granddaughter Jillienne Audrey Baldomaro; numerous family members and friends.

When his nation called, he joined the Philippine Army as well as the Army of the United States.

Viewing and memorial service: April 7, 2017 Friday 6:30 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 Pastor Juan Eclarin officiating.  Funeral service: April 8, 2017 Saturday 9:30 am to be held at the same place with Pastor Juan Eclarin officiating.  A graveside service to follow at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581.

Pallbearers will be: Romy Consumo, Roel Consumo, Rey Bernal, Pete Gaje, John Seigfred Baldomaro, Erik Antoine Consumo, Elrey Jonathan Bernal, Carl Cartial, Jr., Ian Cartial and Noel Liwanag.
