Magda Iris Montes
Magda Iris Montes passed away March 26, 2017. She was born November 20, 1968 in San Benito, Texas to parents, Cayetano F. Montes and Esperanza Bautista Montes. She was a member for thirty-eight years at Shrine of The True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas.
She is survived by her mother, Esperanza Montes; husband Benito Ybarra; daughters, Crystal Sambrano and husband Jared, and Kristie Duran(Cuca); sisters and brothers, Marisela Martinez(Mona), Mario Montez, Melissa Montes Rocha, Michael Montes, Marina Montes, and Matthew Montes; grandchildren, Reuben Juarez, Jr., Rico Juarez, Matthew Duran, Mason Duran, and Riley Juarez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home in League City, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
Reuben Juarez Sr., Jared Mickens, Cristian Reyes, Michael Montes Jr., Gabriel Castillo, Reuben Juarez Jr., and Ruben Ybarra will serve as pallbearers.

Crystal I pray that you and Cuca find peace in the memories you share of your mom. I know all to well the pain that losing your mother brings and life will be full of questions and doubt but one thing is for certain you are an amazing daughter to an amazing mother, who will always be there to comfort you in spirit. The road to heal can a be long one but always remember she knows how much she was loved and the care and support you provided her is more then any one could ask for. I know I never got to know your mom very well but I know she liked to tell me her name was “Jennifa” and more importantly I know she lived for you, Cuca and her grand babies and will continue to live on in all of your hearts and memories. You and your family will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
I am heartbroken that my sweet cousin has left us. She was my sidekick growing up and we had a special bond. I will always remember you and will miss you more than words can say. RIP dear Magda. Love you forever. God please bless and give the Montes Family strength during this difficult time.
