Lonnie Roland Langley, Sr.
Lonnie Roland Langley, Sr., resident of Santa Fe, Texas passed away March 23, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born February 4, 1935 in Buckeye, Arizona to parents George W. Langley and Thelma L. Langley. Lonnie was a high-performance motor sports mechanic specializing in speedboats and race cars and a master welder.
Lonnie had a passion for racing offshore speedboats, racecars and street cars and he always raced to win.
Lonnie leaves behind a very lasting legacy for his children and grandchildren. A legacy of values instilled by love and example. He was a leader and a teacher. Lonnie taught his children and grandchildren to love, honor and respect everyone that they came into contact with; he taught them the value of hard work and fairness. By far the greatest gift Lonnie leaves behind is that he believed in each of his children and grandchildren. Believing always that they could do anything they set their minds to.
Lonnie’s favorite Quote was:
Love Is Our Law
Truth Is Our Worship
Form Is Our Manifestation
Conscience Is Our Guide
Peace Is Our Shelter
Nature Is Our Companion
Order Is Our Attitude
Beauty and Perfection Is Our Life

Uncle Lonnie has been a big ol’ piece of my life, my entire life, and it was always nothing but love. Lots and lots of love. I do believe that the foursome is complete and our two sets of parents are back at their fun and shenanigans from days gone by! Sending light and love and lots of hugs.
When I think about Lonnie I recall him being a very talented mechanic that was ahead of his time, never letting any situation prevent him from succeeding in whatever he decided to do. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Vickey, Mark, Amber and Mark, Jr. I am so sorry about your loss. Not leaving out the rest of the family but you are the ones I have known since you were children. This is the time for sticking together. I know from experience…it does not get better but it does get different.
Lonnie was a great man in many ways especially his humble nature and willingness to help anyone with a desire for knowledge . I fondly look back in my past of the many encounters and enthusiastic teaching for even a novice such as i . The man had many accomplishments in life and would fill several books if directed from the numerous people that his life intersected with . A larger than life man we should all aspire to be like in life. Thanks to one that has a part seared into memory for eternity.
God bless
