Anthony (Tony) Taylor
Anthony (Tony) Taylor, age 83, passed away on March 15th 2017 in Houston Texas. He was born on October 15th 1933 in London, England to Jack and Doris Taylor.
Tony is survived by: his wife, Betty Taylor; son Stephen Taylor; daughters, Carol Binsted and Helen Paraskevas; brother, Michael Taylor; grandchildren, Yannis Paraskevas, Andonis Paraskevas, Katherine Paraskevas, Thomas Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Luke Binsted and Sarah Binsted, Benjamin Taylor and Imogen Taylor; great grandchildren, Sienna Taylor, Zak Binsted, Leo Binsted and Theodore Paraskevas and numerous family members and friends.
Tony worked in the oil business for many years in various parts of the business and throughout the world and was always ready to accept a challenge. He had a passion for his family and lived life to the fullest extent. A typical East Ender who could always be relied upon to voice his opinion whether it pleased or offended.
In his younger days a keen sportsman, boxing as an amateur he was an ABA champion and also boxed for the Army during his National Service which lasted one year, eleven months and four days.
Later in life he was a Kent Snooker Champion, he always had a keen eye for the ball and a lifelong West Ham supporter and loved the Boleyn ground.
His motto in life was “Get it sorted” and he lived up to this and made sure everyone else did the same.
A legend that will never be forgotten or replaced.

My thoughts go out to all the family for the loss of such a large character. Tony lived through very exciting times and lived life to the full.
He and Betty made the family really feel at home when we moved to Texas and we all have fond memories of time spent with them.
Miss his ‘vintage wine’, endless sense of humour and generous spirit.
Departed but never forgotten. A more generous man could not be found. TO was a friend, a mentor, my dad in Texas. My condolences to Betty and the rest of the family.
Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Taylor and the family! Mr. Taylor will be greatly missed around the “Village”
I am so torn about the loss of Mr. Taylor. He was a hoot while in my care. I send my deepest love out to him and the family. I will miss his sassyness in my day.
Much love,
MG
