James C. Crowder, Jr. was born in Galveston, Texas on April 2, 1953.
James
graduated from
La Marque
High School, Class of 1971.
After high school, he attended Commonwealth College of Science in
Houston, Texas. James received his funeral director and
embalmer’s license in 1974.
James is married to Lee Ann and has five children
James III, Mark, Lori, Toban and Rilee. He also has five
grandchildren Sadie, Devers, Sydney, Karson, Nolan and a sixth due in
July of 2009.
James, has belonged to and held many offices with
many civic organizations. He is a former president of the La
Marque Jaycee, La Marque Rotary Club, and is current president of
the La Marque Crime Stoppers, La Marque 50 Club, race secretary for the
Galveston County Invitational Racing Pigeon Club and serves on the Board
of Directors of the La Marque Rotary Club.
James has been serving family at the James Crowder
Funeral Home in La Marque
since 1971.
